Tony
Hinz - Principal
Tony Hinz is a
graduate of Monash University Law
School with twenty-three years of
diverse post-admission experience.
He is a life member of Monash Alumni
association. After working in the
real estate and acquisitions division
of the major energy provider for
Victoria he practised in the common
law compensation area both for plaintiffs
and defendants, including institutions,
insurers and self-insurers.
In 1984 he was
awarded the Solicitors'
Prize in the litigation category
by the Law Institute of Victoria.
He was a full equity partner at 29.
He has conducted and managed complex
litigation to the full court of the
supreme court of Victoria. He has
worked as in-house corporate counsel
for an advertising agency and media
house.
Tony also has
a strong background in property,
guarantees, mortgages and other securities
and, insurance law, commercial litigation,
insolvency, financial reconstructions
and work-outs, contracts and commercial
agreements, building and construction
law and issues, court and tribunal
representation and advocacy and in
more recent years in the area of
immigration law with particular reference
to international education and business
migration.
Tony is a Registered
Migration Agent no. 0214219
(principal) and is a full member
of the Migration
Institute of Australia with
an interest in Australia - China
relations.
He is admitted
to practice as a barrister and solicitor
of the Supreme Court of Victoria
and the High Court of Australia.
Tony holds a full
practising certificate for the state
of Victoria and has been a member
of the Law
Institute of Victoria since
1982. He is also a committee member
of the building dispute practitioners'
society.
